Ian has been the Chairman of a Healthcare Investment Company for the past 3 years as one of his key Board positions. Previously he ran one of Europe’s first and largest fund of funds. He founded and was elected the first Chairman of The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA). He has advised Central Banks, Regulators and other International Organisations on matters related to Economics and Markets. He managed the UK’s first onshore and regulated Futures funds. He has served on a number of boards, committees, companies and funds including Citi Group, Investec, Govett and Quantum Asset Management. He was formally CEO of DDO, Rudolf Wolff Fund Management and European Director of Managed Futures at Lehman Brothers. Ian read Economics at LSE, a member of Gray’s Inn and a journalist. He has written extensively as an author and comment pieces in the FT and WSJ as well as being a frequent guest commentator on TV & radio and a sought after public speaker.
Director, Investor Relations
An MBA from London Business School, Simone has spent over 20 years in the technology and finance sectors, starting her early career at Nissho Iwai, a Japanese Trade and Investment house, after which she led infrastructure teams for a number of high profile technology companies, including Perform Group (Premium TV). Post MBA Simone has worked for a number of Financial Institutions including Morgan Stanley, Investec and Credit Suisse in Wealth Management advisory roles managing over $400m of institutional and private client assets. Simone sits on the London Business School curriculum advisory board as the alumni representative.
A very experienced Residential Healthcare Investment and Operating Executive. John was recently the Chairman of The Regard Partnership and ACH Group and during the merger between the two . His involvement in all aspects of M&A, Corporate Management and at the detailed level of Home Management and Commissioner interaction gives him a very broad insight into best, and worst, practices in the sector. John was previously head of the European business of HFR Asset Management, which he built to more than $4bn AUM at its peak, establishing HFR as a leading provider of hedge fund of fund solutions. Prior to this John worked with Barclays Capital to assist in establishing its fund derivatives platform and was also involved in the extensive structured derivatives solutions delivered to multiple European financial institutions. This role was preceded by a similar position with Paribas (now BNP Paribas), where John was involved in pioneering some of the most innovative structured derivatives offered at that time.
Director, Credit and Finance
Kenneth leads the team on corporate structure and credit matters. He boasts an impressive Banking career spanning over 35 years which includes senior positions at Anglo-Irish, Bank of Ireland and RBS. Kenneth’s particular area of expertise is on effective credit solutions and was previously responsible for a portfolio of c. £700M including clients such as Arnold Clark and Arco. He also served as lead advisor to a large Care group restructuring £80 million worth of mezzanine debt utilising his strong banking relationships and profound knowledge. He has a strong history of matching growing companies with Funding partners.
Nikhil heads up Risk Management and is part of the deal analysis team at Salutem. A Cornell University Scholar, he has held a number of CIO and CEO positions over the course of his 22 year career in Alternatives at Ferrier Lullin et Cie S.A (UBS), Absolute Returns Investment Advisors and Peak Partners SA as well as other roles including Analyst and R&BD Director at Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) and CBL Worldwide Services respectively. Nikhil also has a MA in International Relations from The Graduate Institute, GenevaNikhil is polylingual and speaks fluent English, French, Hindi and Urdu; upper intermediate level Spanish and rudimentary German and Italian.
Director, Compliance & Governance
Claire brings a wealth of experience in regulatory and legal requirements to the Salutem team. She has 20 years experience across the financial markets, starting her career at Paribas (now BNP Paribas) in Fixed Income sales. Prior to joining Salutem, Claire worked at IHS Markit, a global financial information services provider (NYSE), heading up the EMEA relationship management team looking after the G14 banks and top tier buyside clients, with a particular focus on the impact of regulations on OTC derivative related products in the onboarding/KYC space. This role was proceeded by a number of years at MarketAxess, a leading electronic bond trading platform, where she led the European Client Services team handling professional buyside client onboarding.
