Salutem are very pleased to announce that we will become the new provider of disability charity Scope’s established regulated and day services.
For years, Scope has run schools, colleges, residential and community services for disabled people across England and Wales. Scope has provided high-quality care, support and education to their customers, in a way that is very much in-line with our own philosophy and current portfolio of services.
The services will be transferring to us once the transfer of registration has been confirmed which is likely to be early next year.
We will continue to run all Scope services under our newly set up division called Ambito. This means that everyone currently accessing these services will receive the care, support and education they need, ensuring continuity and consistency.
Together with Scope’s existing service based staff and established senior leadership team we will work together to continue the high standards and ethos that Scope has created, and to deliver and enhance these services going forward.
The Scope services being transferred to Ambito include three education facilities, 38 care homes and 10 day services located across England and Wales. Andrew Shelton-Murray will be joining us as CEO of Ambito.

Portfolio Pathways Care Group
An Adults with LD portfolio that was part of a high performing Elderly Care Group. Comprising 44 homes with additional scope to add further rooms. In need of additional CAPEX, improved proper Care Quality and Financial Management. Clear opportunity to build on previous owner’s strategy of shifting into the higher acuity care sector, thereby generating higher weekly rates. Purchased in April 2017. Merged with our other Specialist Care Operator, Modus Care
In November, 2017 Salutem acquired Clearwater Care. Clearwater provides specialist care services for people with complex needs and severe learning disabilities in both a Residential and Supported Living setting. The Group’s services are located in the South East, including London, and the Midlands, delivering levels of care designed to maximize people’s potential and independence.
Salutem’s strategy for Clearwater is to merge it with its existing platform of leading care provision for people with learning disabilities, formed when they acquired Pathways Care Group and Modus Care in April of this year, furthering its strategy of building a leading provider of care for both children and adults with learning disabilities and associated needs, including those with challenging behaviours.
Modus Care Group
Modus Care was purchased in parallel in April 2017, in order to gain significant benefit from a well performing but under capitalised High Acuity business with a leading training Academy. 11 complex care homes providing High Acuity care for adults with Learning Disabilities were acquired.
The Salutem Group currently own 75 homes with further plans for acquisition
All homes are run in strict adherence and compliance to standards set out by the UK Regulator (CQC) and Ofsted.
